Open palms

I think life takes on a different quality when one holds the things in it loosely. Seeing everything that comes our way as a gift. Cherish the good things while they are around, but let them go if and when they do. What difference does it make if we try to grasp tightly? Like sand they'd slip away faster the tighter we hold. Accept the not so enjoyable things too, coz like taichi, sometimes we overcome by not resisting. And it will be easier for these to go, too, when our palms are open.

While it seems right, don't we scream inside when it comes to crunch time? I do. I scream so hard it hurts. But sometimes the only way is to pry open those clenched fingers one by one, day by day until they learn.
